In the Bible Jesus is very clear that we are to love God with all our heart, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourself. You can’t love God without loving your neighbor; you can’t love your neighbor without loving God! Because of this, at First UMC, we believe that we are called to put love first in our lives and to live out of a center of love. Unfortunately, our world doesn’t always make that easy, and much of our formation as humans in this world has taught us the opposite. So in order to put love first, we have to practice.
